To download music to your device, add songs to a playlist and the option will become available. Songs cannot be transferred outside of Spotify. Spotify allows songs to be downloaded for offline listening within the app only in paid plans. There is also the Duo plan for $12.99 (two users) and the Family Plan for $15.99 which allows up to 6 accounts with Spotify Kids. This includes offline mode, no ads and on-demand playback. The first paid tier is the Individual Plan which costs $9.99 per month and is fully featured. The free version allows access to the entire Spotify library but you can only play music in shuffle, skip up to six times per hour, and there is no offline mode. Spotify can be free with some limitations or it can be paid. And because the music plays live, there's no need to wait for downloads and no big dent in your device's storage. You can create as many playlists as you like from this collection.
